THE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY DESIGN CONCEPT
FOREWORD

Green lawn roofs for energy conservation go hand in hand with reducing global warming, (compare heat radiation from standard roofs), helping to reduce air and noise pollution, producing oxygen, and in general being environmentally friendly with our concepts of building.
“ The nature that we have on the roof, is that piece of nature that we murdered, when put the house there ” , Friedenreich Hunderwasser, the leading architect for green roofs in the 1960's – 1980's.
Water is the essence of life, so water is the theme, recycling, conserving and retaining water are only the practical elements incorporated into the planning of Villa Santai. The sight, sound and enjoyment of water are the visual and physical aspects.
Integrating a luxurious villa into the landscape and giving back to nature as much as we can of what we took, insulating it against the heat to conserve energy and reduce global warming with green roofs, creating water biotopes, retaining and recycling water, at the same time reducing air and noise pollution is something wonderful.
